Recent trends in deep-materials science technology have resulted in new requirements for development and characterization ıf new materials. It is almost impossible the growing and varying demand of airplane, satellite production and deep ocean drilling industries with conventional materials. Thus my primary focus is on working on nanomaterials by tweaking the structure by pico size interactions. Much of my research centers on new formulations that capture performance and durability criteria in the physical layout of computer-aided nanomaterial design. I have designed and over 20 nanocomposites and characterized their mechanical, physical and chemical properties. Since nanocomposites exhibit different characteristics than both of the ingredients, it is essential for studying the underlying interactions within pico scale.
As a true believer of innovation, I have established many companies with my fellow researchers in many fields. My main motto is to "develop materials that you can use." I have successfully designed and produced Type-2 and type-3 prototype nanomaterials mainly for high altitude platforms and low earth orbit satellites.
My team is consisting four masters student, and a bachelor's student excluding the students only works in our lab in their thesis basis. I have students from a variety of backgrounds like from physics, chemical engineering, chemistry and materials science.
I am happy to work with students coming from 4 different universities all around Istanbul. I hope to grow this web of research to neighboring and distant eastern schools. The most important of all I strictly control the hard work of the colleagues as well as the benefits they should have.
